About the Mid-Ohio Jets

The Mid Ohio Jets are a member of the Heartland Football League (HFL). We are a full contact team that plays by NFL rules.
Our goal is to promote team concept and to provide players who love the game with an opportunity to play competitively across Ohio, with the hopes of making it to the HFL Championship and the 2010 National Championship.
The Jets are a Minor League Professional Football Team in Columbus, Ohio. The Jets are an up-and-coming organization in the area hoping to bring Columbus football to the forefront of the Minor League Professional football community. Currently Columbus has many different teams with average success, and by acting as one (1) body that provides truth and stability we feel we can make Central Ohio a respected football arena outside of what Ohio State brings. Awaiting the Jets will be the HFL, a league that will bring good competition on a regular basis. To be competitive and to reach our ultimate goal of a National Championship in 2010, we need quality people who are willing to be what the team needs them to be (a role player, starter, quarterback, cornerback, or a pain to the other team and a friend to your teammate). Remember the old high school days where you had a blast knocking heads on the field and talking about it after the game, while hanging out with some of your best friends? This is what the Jets organization values. Understand, tight relationships are seldom created as often as they are in sports. Some of your best friends from the past that you still may talk to are probably old sports buddies. This will be the time to make new sports friends and go to battle again knowing you're in the heat of war next to those same warriors.
Players are not paid to play and coaches are not paid to coach. We are a non-profit organization, that rely on a variety of fundraisers to offset the operating and travel costs for players and are currently looking for sponsors for our 2010 season.
